Mud Hammer Drilling in Deep Hard Geothermal formation, from the single impact to the directional and vibration characterization

Résumé

A new 8 ½" mud hammer prototype and its associated innovative drill bits have been developed and tested to increase drilling performances in hard formations. This system is based on a high-power down-the-hole hammer, capable of delivering high-energy impacts at high frequency.
