Cu9Ni6Sn : Determination of phase transformation at high temperature

Abstract : The copper rich corner of the CuNiSn system is frequently studied for the high tensile strength and good electrical conductivity of the alloys. In this study, we focus on the phase transformations at high temperature. The incipient melting is studied in some detail just below 1000 °C since the presence of an unexpected peak at 985 °C on the DTA's thermograms is detected.
