Energy decay estimates for a beam with nonlinear boundary feedback

Abstract : We obtain decay estimates for an Euler-Bernoulli beam which is clamped at one end and controlled at the other end by a point force that is a nonlinear function of the observed transversal velocity. Numerical simulations show that the estimates are fairly accurate.
