Simulation of the anisotropic behavior of titanium alloys during sheet metal forming

Abstract : This paper introduces a constitutive elastoplastic model based on anisotropic yield criterion. An evolving anisotropy during simulation is considered. The anisotropy axes are updated with the deformation gradient. An anisotropic yield criterion, an isotropic hardening and a kinematic hardening model the plastic behavior of titanium alloys. Different plastic yield criteria are compared to show the accuracy of each plasticity model for the simulation of forming processes.
