Evaluation du potentiel éolien offshore par radars spatio-portes : vers une approche multisource
Résumé
Within the framework of the development and exploitation of offshore wind power, precise and reliable evaluation of the resource is crucial for the construction of wind farms. Today this assessment is generally carried out by means of individual measurements which are then extrapolated to produce wind maps for wide areas, which may not adequately reflect local wind conditions. In this article a method is described which allows the production of wind maps with a high spatial resolution by means of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery from ERS satellites. The problem of repeatability of data is examined and the basis of an algorithm for the fusion of data is proposed. The aim is to obtain wind statistics over a specific area of interest from data with high spatial and temporal resolution.
