Rheological parameter identification using a finite element simulation of the tensile test

Résumé

In order to improve the physical parameter determination, the authors have developed an automatic parameter identification using a finite element simulation of the rheological tests. The obtained inverse problem is solved by minimisation of a cost function defined as a least squares distance between the experimental measurements and the finite element computational results. The optimisation procedure is based on a modified Gauss-Newton method using an accurate evaluation of the matrix sensitivity. In this paper we present results concerning the identification of a viscoplastic law using a tensile test.
