Angle Interpolation

Résumé

This paper describes the algorithm used in order to interpolate angles. It is used essentially to complement the results obtained using the Automatic Variogram Fitting algorithm in the scope of Local Geostatistics. As a matter of fact, this method automatically provides the main parameters of the variogram, such as its range, its sill but also the rotation of the anisotropy ellipsoid. As this algorithm may be time consuming, these parameters are obtained on a coarse grid which then needs to be re ned at the scale of the nal target grid. For range and sill, a simple bilinear algorithm is su cient. The problem lies for the case of angle interpolation.
