Influence of thermal preconditioning technologies on A/C system power and passengers' thermal comfort

Abstract : This paper presents the results of a study on passive thermal preconditioning systems. Few devices have been evaluated in terms of energy savings and passengers' thermal comfort. The main conclusion is the possibility to reduce by 28% the A/C system cooling power with a significant improvement in the thermal comfort.
