Properties of polymers

Abstract : In order to design extrusion forming tools, it is necessary to understand and to be able to control the polymer properties not only in the molten state, but also during the post-extrusion stages, i.e., cooling, crystallisation and, finally, in the solid state. In the present chapter, we will first present the rheological and thermal properties in the molten state, then the crystallisation kinetics and viscoelastic behaviour in the solid state.
