Industrial process-scale drying of a film-wrapped product: A modeling and experimental approach
Résumé
This article deals with the use of a semi-permeable film for the greenhouse-effect dehydration of a wrapped product. A process-scale drying model is set up using the product-scale knowledge on an ideal (black-body and nonhydroscopic) film wrapped product derived from a recent laboratory study. The ability of this model to predict the drying rate is characterized using the results of process tests that have been carried out by customers using this film.
