Cycles organiques de Rankine COR

Abstract : Organic Rankine cycles are variants of water steam cycles, which are used when the heat source available to produce the mechanical power is at low or medium temperature, generally to take advantage medium or low temperature effluents. This article is structured in three parts. The first begins by showing the most used cycle architectures and then examines technological aspects, including the selection criteria of the working fluids they use. The second part presents the main applications of ORC cycles. The third part is devoted to the optimization of these cycles
