Power system synchronism in planning exercise: From Kuramoto lattice model to kinetic energy aggregation

Abstract : In order to assess the stability of the synchronous state of a power system, a dedicated description of the grid based on the Kuramoto’s model is introduced. Hence, a coherent approach for long-term power systems analysis is proposed and derived in the case of the French Reunion Island.
