Critical Analysis of "Energy 2050" report: An overview of the French electricity mix

In wake of the Fukushima accident and national targets to reduce the greenhouse gases emissions, Questions are being raced concerning how the French electricity mix will evolve. "Energy 2050’ report tries to answer these questions by studying 4 scenarios of nuclear production: extension of the operation of today’s nuclear power plants, acceleration of 3rd generation (European Pressurized Reactor) deployment, reduction of nuclear power capacity, and exit of the nuclear power. This study will analyze these different scenarios and evaluate their impact on the future French electricity mix.
