Rupture ductile plate/inclinée, nouveaux matériaux : des défis pour la modélisation

Abstract : Flat-slant fracture transition and ductile fracture in shear and/or at small stress triaxiality remain a critical topic, in particular in new aluminum alloys. Some porous plasticity models are inadequate.Besides, the micromechanism of fracture can be transgranular without prior void damage. Coulomb’s fracture model, associated with an appropriate porous plasticity model, is used to simulate notched tensile, shear and CT specimens made of aluminum alloys 6260-T6 and 2198-T8R thin sheets. The experimental and numerical results are in good agreement with regard to fracture strains and locations, macroscopic and microscopic features.
