Y. Barthe, provides an account of 'responsibilization' and its relationship with 'victimization' in his book about the victims of nuclear tests. He outlines the process of responsibilization: i.e. identification of a responsible entity from which accountability is demanded, demonstration of a link between a specific cause and a damage done, tension between responsibilization and deresponsibilization.
