Musicothérapie: du rôle de la créativité dans les soins en réadaptation après un AVC

Abstract : Proposing music therapy in addition to the rehabilitation protocols of a hospital department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (MPR) and beyond its feasibility in the services, raises the question of its specificity with regard to medical and para-medical specialties that ensure the care of patients following a stroke.Global care, music therapy enhances awareness of sound perception and musical sensorial experience often highly impaired following a stroke. It stirs up mental representations and associated emotional feelings, facilitated by safe musical experiences with the music therapist. Thus we observed improvements in improvisations and better emotional clarity while listening to musical works. In other words, music therapy invokes creativity and may help patients to rebuild their lives after the stroke. This article presents a music therapy device, specifically designed to facilitate creativity in a sonorous and musical context, with patients hospitalized in an MPR service after a stroke. In addition, an easy to use observations grid allows the music therapist to adapt his accompaniment throughout the sessions.
