« Music’Al », une étude clinique sur l’efficacité de la musicothérapie auprès de personnes souffrant de la maladie d’Alzheimer

Abstract : In this article, we investigate whether music therapy is more suited to the care of elderly people suffering from cognitive and / or behavioral disorders than a musical animation without a therapeutic framework.A randomized controlled study compared the impact of 10 sessions of music therapy on cognitive and / or behavioral disorders of Alzheimer's disease to 10 sessions of free music listening. Both groups of patients improved slightly at the cognitive level after the sessions but the statistical analysis did not allow us to demonstrate a significant difference. Behaviorally, none of the groups developed significantly after the sessions. A replication of this study by increasing the number of sessions and the numbers of each group could invalidate or confirm these first results.
