De la voix du thérapeute à celle du patient

Abstract : It is after reading the reports stemming from the 2019 Nantes Clinical Studies Seminars that I quickly made alink between those readings and the work I had by then been under taking for a few months with a patient we shall call Mrs Mute. The lady, in her nineties, was brought under my care after her arrival at the nursing home. Even before she arrived, the staff feared a difficult time asher consent is described as “forcedout”. Indeed, she has resigned herself to live in our nursing home to answerherchildren’s worries.Stayingathome hadbecome intricate.Asplanned, herarrivalatthe nursing home triggered a complete and immediates hut down as well as muteness. Mrs Mute was sent to me because ofher great passivity and her wish not to communicate actively. The music therapy work has naturally tended to the link. As weeks went by, my singing voice slowly gave place to Mrs Mute speaking voice.
