Abstract
The term "ontology" was proposed in the 17th century simultaneously by Rudolf Göckel in his Lexicon Philosophicum and by Jakob Lorhard in Ogdoas Scholastica. We take it up here in a very precise sense: to designate the attempts to think about what exists, without falling into the aporias of metaphysics. It is about conceptualizing-categorizing the World and especially what is known about it (the Universe) in a rational and plausible way.
Le terme « ontologie » a été proposé au XVIIe siècle simultanément par Rudolf Göckel dans son Lexicon Philosophicum et par Jakob Lorhard dans Ogdoas Scholastica. Nous le reprenons ici en un sens très précis : désigner les tentatives pour penser ce qui existe, sans tomber dans les apories de la métaphysique. Il s’agit de conceptualiser-catégoriser le Monde et surtout ce qui en est connu (l’Univers) de manière rationnelle et plausible.
