Anticipating impacts of change on individual behaviors within a perspective of safety management

Technological or managerial changes aim improving a dimension of performance of sociotechnical systems, generally productivity, profitability or quality. In some circumstances changes can affect, as a side effect, system safety properties and facilitate occurrence of crisis situations or by decreasing system ability to mitigate crisis situations. Anticipating potential consequences of change on sociotechnical systems safety properties requires knowledge, method and tools covering the complexity of sociotechnical system. Objective of this paper is to present and apply a methodological framework aiming supporting the identification of impact of a change on individual and collective behaviors within the perspective of safety management.
